The Nebraska Cornhuskers are having a solid season, but find themselves on the outside looking in at the Big Ten championship race. They are 7-3 overall, but only 4-3 against Big Ten opponents, and as a result, they will not compete for the Big Ten Championship. That also means that they will not qualify for the College Football Playoff. So, the only goal of the Cornhuskers will be to finish the season strong and then win their bowl game.
The Cornhuskers play the Penn State Nittany Lions on Saturday. It is a matchup that would have heavily favored the Nittany Lions at the start of the year. However, they have struggled immensely this season, picking up their first win last week after losing their previous six games. The Cornhuskers then finish their regular season next Friday against Iowa.
There is not much left to play for this season for the Cornhuskers. However, if they win their final two games, they can earn a more prestigious bowl game selection. Here is a look at a few possible bowl games the Cornhuskers could play in.

What Bowl Game Draws Could the Nebraska Cornhuskers Get?
It is difficult to predict bowl games because there is so much variance. There are several options available, and as a result, it can feel a little random when making projections. However, there are a few interesting options that appear likely at this stage of the season.
One interesting option is the Music City Bowl. The Cornhuskers’ only appearance in it came in 2016 when they lost to Tennessee. An interesting matchup here would be against Vanderbilt, which appears likely to finish just outside the College Football Playoff picture.
Another option could be to play a rematch against Tennessee in the Music City Bowl. The Volunteers will not make the CFP this season, and a rematch of the 2016 bowl could be fun for fans to watch.
The Las Vegas Bowl is another option. Some interesting fits here would be against Utah and Arizona State. There would be some season symmetry here as the Cornhuskers would finish their season in Las Vegas after starting it there at Big Ten media days.
