“You’re in Inglewood, Steve”: Snoop Dogg Leaves NBC Crew in Splits After Hilarious Commentary on Steve Kerr’s Ejection vs Clippers

Rapper Snoop Dogg left NBC’s crew covering Monday’s Golden State Warriors vs. LA Clippers game in stitches with his reaction to Steve Kerr’s ejection from the matchup. Kerr, who was upset by a series of officiating decisions, gave an animated reaction on the sidelines, quickly picking up two technical fouls.

He left the game early in the fourth quarter. Snoop Dogg, who had joined the broadcast as a guest commentator, described the whole sequence leading to Kerr’s ejection live on air. The rapper’s humorous words left the whole studio laughing.

“Uh-oh Steve, don’t get thrown out. Get him out of there! Get him out of there! Back him up GP (Gary Payton II),” Snoop said. “You’re in Inglewood Steve. That Arizona Wildcat done came out.”

After Steve Kerr’s ejection, the Warriors put up a decent fight but were met with more misfortune after Stephen Curry fouled out of the game. The Dubs (19-18) ultimately lost 103-102, dropping down to eighth place in the Western Conference.

The Clippers (13-22), meanwhile, have climbed to 11th place in the West. Kawhi Leonard led the team in Monday’s win, finishing with 24 points and 12 rebounds. Golden State relied on Curry, who recorded 27 points and six assists.

Steve Kerr recalls his encounter with Snoop Dogg at the Olympics

Before the game, Steve Kerr sat down to speak with reporters and discussed the time he ran into Snoop Dogg at the 2024 Paris Olympics. The rapper traveled to the event as part of NBC’s crew. Kerr recalled meeting him on the team bus:

“The last time I saw him was on our team bus in Paris when we went up to Lille to play one of the pool games in the Olympics and he rode on the bus with us,” Kerr said. “And it was like I didn’t even know what was happening, and I’m sitting there and you know, in the first row and looking at my phone or something, and he gets on and he’s like, ‘Hey, coach.’

“I was like, ‘Hey, Snoop. What’s going on here?’”

A reporter followed up, asking Kerr if the rapper was “smoking” on the bus. While he didn’t directly answer the question he referred to the act as something most would say is Snoop Dogg’s favorite activity, drawing laughter from the crowd of reporters.

After a tough loss against Los Angeles, the Warriors will look to get back on track during their upcoming eight-game home stand.
