Victor Wembanyama Stuns NBA Fans With Ridiculous Karate Chop Kick to Pop Balls Out of 10-Foot Rim

For years to come, Victor Wembanyama will fill highlight reels with jaw-dropping moves that only a man of his stature can pull off. On Tuesday night, the San Antonio Spurs star went viral yet again for executing a move worthy of combat sports.

In the viral clip, Wembanyama lifts his freakishly long legs off the ground and proceeds to kick a set of basketball stuck in a net underneath a rim. Somehow, Wemby’s kick dislodged one of the balls from the net.

This incredible display of athleticism drew excited reactions from fans, some of whom brought up the 10-day training period that Victor Wembanyama spent in Zhengzhou, China during the offseason.

“Forget the Karate Kid,” one fan tweeted. “He is the Karate Alien.”

“He can almost dunk with his foot. And you want my Grizzlies to beat these guys tonight. FML,” another fan lamented.

“Now that is just crazy stuff!!! Please don’t say it’s AI!!” another fan commented.

“That’s what he learned training with the monks this summer at the Shaolin Temple. That is a high level wing chun move,” another fan speculated.

Other netizens, however, were not as enthusiastic.

“Lebron still better,” one netizen asserted.

“Why is he doing this with an alleged lower body injury,” another netizen wondered out loud.

Since entering the league in 2023, Victor Wembanyama has wowed NBA fans with his out-of-this-world dimensions. The NBA officially lists him at 7-foot-4, and his wing span has been measured at eight feet.

As fans eagerly pointed out, the training that Wembanyama received at a Shaolin Temple months ago has only improved his concentration. Thanks in part to Wemby’s physical gifts and mental prowess, the Spurs are a healthy 25-10 heading into their Tuesday night showdown against the Memphis Grizzlies.

“He Wants It All”: Spurs HC Comments on Victor Wembanyama’s Frustration at Being Told to Sit Out Games

Another impressive attribute that Victor Wembanyama has showcased is his passion for the game. According to Spurs head coach Mitch Johnson, the French phenom gets frustrated when he is told that he won’t be suiting up for a game.

“He wants it all, all the time, but he’s also a very cerebral young man that understands a lot more than most 21-year-olds,” Johnson said prior to the Spurs-Grizzlies game.

To Wembanyama’s credit, he has accepted the role of bench player as the Spurs take a cautious approach to his health issues over the past several weeks. Whether he’s starting games or leading the reserve unit, Wembanyama remains prolific in his scoring, rebounding, and defense.
