There is a lot of unrest in the NBA at the moment. There have been rumors flying around about different trades for some of the biggest names in the league. Giannis Antetokounmpo seemed on his way out from the Bucks before he put the rumors to rest. However, the reports are still suggesting that he just might leave. A couple of other big stars whose futures are uncertain are Trae Young and Anthony Davis.
It was reported that if Antetokounmpo leaves the Bucks, the Atlanta Hawks would be interested in trading for the big center. The Bucks were also reportedly interested in the Hawks’ trade package. Trae Young wasn’t in the initial plans of that package, but recent updates have confirmed that Young’s trade out of Atlanta is no longer unthinkable.
Additionally, there is news that the Mavericks are very much interested in working out a deal to send Anthony Davis to the Atlanta Hawks. After Luka Doncic’s exit, the Dallas Mavericks have made sure to put confidence in their rookie Cooper Flagg. The Mavs might just be upto a proper rebuild, with Flagg at the center of the project.

NBA insider Tim MacMahon reported weeks ago that the Mavs will explore the trade market for Anthony Davis. It makes sense for the Mavs to pivot the future with 18-year-old Cooper Flagg. Now, Anthony Davis to the Atlanta Hawks might be the next step for that rebuild. With the possibility of Trae Young leaving, the trade market is wide open. Putting Giannis into the mix makes things even more interesting for all three teams.
Fans React to Rumors of Anthony Davis’ Trade from Mavs to Hawks
Fans online were confused as to what the trade deal would look like if the Mavs end up trading Davis to the Hawks.
“For who Trae Young?” one fan wondered.
“Only if Trae Young is in the deal,” another said.
“They want to trade with us bc they know Tony Ressler a bomboclat. Last time he was involved in a major deal 3 picks went to San Antonio for a mid 1x all star,” another fan explained.
“I don’t like this for Hawks they already got big man that can’t stay healthy,” another said.
“Most likely a 3-team deal,” one predicted.
“If they give AD for Trae Young, that’s worse than the Luka trade,” one fan claimed.
