Earlier in the season, Williams was in the spotlight for his hot takes on the Thunder’s winning streak. He even claimed that the young roster could beat the 2017 Warriors and the 1995 Chicago Bulls. In the post-game media interaction, after their last win against the Utah Jazz, Jalen Williams was asked about the Thunder’s shaky 12-game stretch. He replied:
“This is like gonna sound cocky, but the last three years we win so much that when we have a normal human stretch of losing a game or two that we shouldn’t have the world freaks out.”
