“Still Better Than Zion By A Good Margin”: LeBron James’ Vintage Performance Has NBA World On Its Feet

The LA Lakers began their two-game road trip with an impressive win on Tuesday night at the Smoothie King Center. The 111-103 victory over the New Orleans Pelicans was highlighted by a vintage performance from LeBron James that left fans buzzing across social media.

James looked like his old MVP self, finishing the night with 30 points, eight rebounds, eight assists, and three ‘stocks’ (combined steals + blocks). Fans wasted no time reacting to the performance, praising the longevity and dominance of the 41-year-old.

“Bron still better than Zion by a good margin after all these years😂😂😂😂,” @DOC323123 said.

“41 years old in year 23 we’ll never see anything like this again,” @ProphetXHoops wrote.

“33 minutes, zero signs of aging… someone check his birth certificate 😭,” @galaxyai__ said.

“It’s remarkable LeBron James is doing this at age 41. My goodness. There’s no way he should retire after this year. A lot left in the tank,” @KevinOConnor said.

“41 years old and still better than your favorite player…..,” @Mzndoza wrote.

“The greatest to ever touch a ball,” @Moe_TaughtYou said.

Beyond the stats, LeBron James also turned back the clock by showing off his athleticism, throwing down a powerful windmill dunk and finishing an alley-oop slam.

Over the last three games, LeBron James has elevated his performance. He is averaging 29.0 points, 8.0 rebounds and 8.0 assists during that stretch, being majorly responsible for the Lakers’ 3-0 record.

JJ Redick reveals that LeBron James tells him to “F off”

Following Tuesday’s win over the New Orleans Pelicans, JJ Redick opened up about his coaching dynamic with LeBron James and offered a candid look at how they work together.

Redick compared James to legendary pitcher Greg Maddux and described himself as a catcher guiding him from the sidelines. He explained that he often tries to steer James in certain directions during games, but that advice is not always followed.

“He’s Greg Maddox at the end of his career,” Redick said. “I’m his catcher. I’ve figured out how to call the pitches. Sometimes he tells me F off, he calls his own pitch. Which is fine too.”

LeBron James got off to a slow start this season after missing the first 14 games. However, his recent surge has turned things around, improving his stats to 21.7 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 6.8 assists per game.
