Steph Curry and Jimmy Butler are looking to help the Golden State Warriors stay above .500 for the foreseeable future. Fortunately for Warriors fans, it looks like the return of both stars to the hardcourt is imminent.
According to ESPN’s Anthony Slater, both Curry and Butler have been cleared to return to action against the Utah Jazz on Saturday night. Slater added that Warriors forward Jonathan Kuminga has been “upgraded to probable.”

The comeback of Curry and Butler is a welcome development for the Warriors, who suffered a 131-94 beatdown at the hands of the OKC Thunder on Friday. In front of their home crowd at Chase Center, the Dubs shot just 35.6% from the field and 29.5% from beyond the arc.
Sans Curry, Butler, and Draymond Green in the Thunder game, Golden State had a three-guard lineup of Brandin Podziemski, Moses Moody, and Will Richard in the starting five, which also had Gui Santos and Quinten Post in the frontcourt. Meanwhile, the Thunder missed the services of Isaiah Hartenstein but had their vaunted combination of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Jalen Williams, and Chet Holmgren.
Getting Steph Curry and Jimmy Butler back puts the Warriors in a prime position to bounce back against the Jazz, who have lost two consecutive games. Prior to the loss dealt by OKC, Golden State had won five of their last six outings.

Though Steph Curry sat out the game against the Thunder, he remained highly engaged on the bench. One viral clip shows him waving his arms around frantically after his teammate Al Horford was called for a foul on Gilgeous-Alexander.

Didn’t look like a whole lot of contact here, and like all teams when they play the Thunder, they crashout.

The reigning MVP went on to finish with 38 points on 61.9% FG shooting against the Warriors. Given the resounding way that Golden State lost to OKC, Curry will certainly be raring to get his team back on the win column against the Jazz.
