After wrapping up a two-game road trip in LA, the Memphis Grizzlies are heading back for a homestand that goes on till Jan. 25. First up in this stretch are the San Antonio Spurs, marking the third meeting between the two Southwest Division rivals this season. So far, the Spurs have had the upper hand, holding a 2-0 lead in the 2025-26 regular-season series.
Their first clash, on Nov. 18, saw San Antonio claim a 111-101 win despite playing without Victor Wembanyama. De’Aaron Fox and Harrison Barnes led the way, combining for 49 points on 19-34 shooting.
The same duo delivered once more in the subsequent matchup on Dec. 2, this time improving their production. Fox and Barnes combined for 60 points on 18-39 shooting. Memphis got strong efforts from Jaylen Wells (20 points) and Zach Edey (19 points and 15 rebounds). However, it was not enough to slow down San Antonio, resulting in the Spurs clinching a 126-119 victory.
As things stand, the Spurs are sitting in second place in the Western Conference standings with a 25-10 record. The Grizzlies, on the other hand, are placed in play-in territory at 10th in the West with a 15-20 record.
