    Russell Westbrook Surpasses Magic Johnson And Allen Iverson for 2 Different Milestones in NBA History

    Russell Westbrook is one of the greatest players to have ever played in the NBA. A sureshot future Hall of Famer and 9x All-Star, in 17 years in the league, he has earned a reputation as a pretty skilled player. He is often known as Mr Triple Double.

    Russell Westbrook holds multiple NBA records. They are primarily centered on triple-doubles. He has the most career triple-doubles with over 200. He also holds the record for most triple-doubles in a single season with 42 in the 2016-17 season. He also has the most consecutive games with a triple-double – 11 games.

    Russell Westbrook overtook Oscar Robertson with 202 triple-doubles in 2025. He is also tied for the third most 6 seasons with the most leading triple-doubles. He is only behind Jason Kidd and Magic Johnson. Russ recently made more NBA history. He surpassed Magic Johnson for most assists and Allen Iverson for most steals in NBA history.

    Russell Westbrook also climbed up to 14 in the list of all-time leaders in total steals. Russ now has 2,000 steals. He surpassed Allen Iverson, who has 1,983 steals. Westbrook had 21 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists in the Kings’ win vs the Dallas Mavericks.
