JJ Redick has apparently had enough of the Lakers’ poor run. After the most recent loss (119-96) against the Houston Rockets, Redick went off. He made sure his disappointment was visible and made it clear that he would take action, as he cannot see the Lakers playing like that. In the post-game conference, Redick said that the practice after the loss will be an “uncomfortable” one.
Redick even said he cannot see the Lakers playing like that for the rest of the season. The Lakers haven’t had the poorest of the seasons. Nothing is lost as of yet, but their start of the season promised a much better route towards the playoffs. They are 19-10 this season. Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves started the season in tremendous form, but in the last few games, the Lakers have lost all momentum. They have lost their last three games and six of their last 10.
As per JJ Redick, despite LeBron James’ return, the Lakers have not been able to organize their offense and contribute on defense as much as they would like. Now, amid Austin Reaves’ injury, the Lakers are definitely missing the right balance. However, Redick’s open warning of sorts, or a rather ‘enough is enough’ speech, wasn’t serious enough.
When a reporter asked the Lakers center Deandre Ayton how the “uncomfortable” meeting went, he replied, “Y’all bought into that?” This left some chuckles around him, while others were just surprised. He continued, “I am not going to tell y’all. I am not saying anything.”

“Team Chemistry -1000,” one fan said.
“Bro is not seeing the outside of the Gym after that if I’m JJ,” another claimed.
“JJ has to say things like that to cater to the media…Ayton knows, like everyone else, JJ was talking about Luka and LeBron…ask them how the practice was,” one fan speculated.
“Ay man uncomfortable or not we need to lock in because we got ran off the floor by the Rockets smh,” another expressed disappointment.
“Ayton is a large part of the issue in every place he goes, clearly JJ is pointing to him among others most of the time when it comes to effort,” one fan explained.
“Dude really said, you believed that BS?” another commented.
