After going 4-1 in their most recent five-game homestand, the LA Clippers will head to the East to begin their three-game road trip with the New York Knicks up first. Wednesday’s clash at Madison Square Garden is the first meeting between the two teams during the 2025-2026 regular season.
The Clippers enter the game having won seven of their last eight contests. This successful stretch includes impressive wins over big opponents like the LA Lakers, the Houston Rockets, and the Detroit Pistons. Their dominance during these games has been even more encouraging, outscoring opponents by an average of 17.6 points per game.
The Knicks, meanwhile, have severely underperformed during this same two-week stretch. They are just 3-4, a stretch that includes a four-game winning streak and a winless start to the new calendar year.
Despite the contrasting difference in their forms, the Knicks are 5.5-point favorites with a -218 moneyline.
LA Clippers vs New York Knicks Injury Report
LA Clippers injury report
Bradley Beal suffered a season-ending hip injury earlier in November. Joining him on the sidelines for Wednesday’s clash are Derrick Jones Jr. and Bogdan Bogdanovic, who are dealing with an MCL sprain and hamstring issue, respectively.
James Harden is also an addition to the team’s injury report, listed as questionable due to a shoulder injury. The same injury kept him out for the Clippers’ Jan. 5 clash against the Golden State Warriors. However, his absence didn’t cause much harm as Kawhi Leonard powered LA to a 103-102 win.
New York Knicks injury report
The New York Knicks boast a fairly healthy group for their clash against the LA Clippers, with only two names on the injury report. Josh Hart (ankle) and Landry Shamet (shoulder) are confirmed to miss the game.
