Kings vs Warriors Prediction, Odds – Jan. 9 | 2025-26 NBA Season

The reeling Sacramento Kings will face the Golden State Warriors on Friday. DeMar DeRozan and Co. hope to end a six-game losing skid when they visit the Dubs. Without Domantas Sabonis (knee) and Keegan Murray (ankle), the Kings will try to stay unbeaten against the Bay Area team.

Meanwhile, the Warriors are aiming for improved consistency in 2026. Over their past five games, they have alternated wins and losses. A victory against the Kings will give them their first winning streak of the year.

Kings vs Warriors Preview and Prediction

    Preview

In Sacramento’s 121-116 win against Golden State early in November, it needed a sizzling 48.0% clip from deep to walk away with a win. The visitors are shooting just 34.3% for the season, which could be their efficiency in the rematch.

If DeMar DeRozan and his teammates can’t keep the same scorching hot output, they have to keep attacking the paint. Sacramento’s 54-40 advantage in paint scoring was another factor that was crucial in its win.

Russell Westbrook must play well to pick up some of the scoring, rebounding and playmaking slack due to Domantas Sabonis’ absence.

Turnovers and points off turnovers proved costly for Golden State when it lost to Sacramento. Steve Kerr’s team committed 19 errors, which led to 30 Sacramento points.

Kerr’s group has the advantage in health and firepower. If it can avoid complacency, the Dubs could tie the season series in the rematch.

    Prediction

The Dubs have been inconsistent, but they have been playing much better than the slumping hosts. Expect Steph Curry to lead his team to a comfortable win on Friday.

    Kings vs Warriors Player Props

Steph Curry is averaging 29.7 points per game in December. Against Sacramento’s bottom-three defense, the two-time MVP likely tops his 29.5 (O/U) points prop.

The home team needs DeMar DeRozan to have at least a 20-point night to beat the Dubs. Expect the veteran to ease past his 20.5 (O/U) points prop.
