It is no secret that there has been some tension between Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks. Reports suggest that Giannis and his agents have been looking for a more suitable team for the star.
Giannis has played 18 games this season and is averaging 28.9 points, 10 rebounds, and 5.8 assists. It’s safe to say that Giannis has been putting up tremendous numbers, as he has in his 12-year NBA career. Despite Giannis’ performances, the Bucks are struggling.
They are 13-19 and stand 11th in the Eastern Conference. Despite rumors of Giannis Antetokounmpo wanting to leave Milwaukee, head coach Doc Rivers affirmed that Giannis has no interest in leaving. Giannis got pretty agitated recently when he was asked the question for the nth time.
A reporter asked Giannis whether he would want to be in Milwaukee if his team were not able to compete for the NBA title. Giannis answered sternly:
“I’m here. I’m here. Don’t ask me that question, I’m here. It’s disrespectful towards myself and my teammates. I wear that jersey every single day. Disrespectful towards the organization. My coaching staff, myself and all the people that work hard for me to come out here and say I don’t want to be here. Don’t ask me that question, I’m here. I am putting on that jersey.”

Despite the repeated assurances from both Doc Rivers and Giannis, multiple NBA teams have been inquiring about the Bucks star.
“I’ve spoken to plenty of GMs that would love to have Giannis and have tried to talk to Bucks GM Jon Horst about acquiring him and quite frankly, he’s not going anywhere. They they’ve been telling me the Bucks have been steadfast that he’s not going anywhere,” NBA insider Michael Scotto reported.
