LeBron James is the greatest player of all time for many people. Be it fans, retired players, active ones or young stars working their way to the NBA. However, one man who certainly does not share the same fandom, sentiment or even the equal amount of respect is Dillon Brooks.
It is nothing new to see Dillon Brooks lock horns with LeBron James. And it is not one-sided either. LeBron has also had his fair share of swipes at Brooks. After the Lakers vs Suns on December 1, Brooks publicly made it clear yet again that he is not a fan of LeBron. Brooks claimed that LeBron likes the people who bow down to him, and he wasn’t one of those people.
LeBron then answered back and shared how competitive he is, as everyone knows, and players will go up at each other’s faces in that spirit. He also made clear how he never goes borderline with it and takes anything personally. However, another Lakers vs Suns game brought another LeBron-Brooks altercation, which was a bit more heated than before.

“He [LeBron James] is a social media junkie. This will be all over social, so he’ll be seeing what I’m saying. When I go out there, and he thinks. Like I told you, he thinks that people should think a way about him or see a way about him or play a certain way. I am not going to play that way. So I guess in his moods or in his modes whatever it is, I’m all for that. I wish we let him shoot that shot, that sh*t would’ve been airball,” Dillon Brooks said about LeBron James.
During the Lakers’ 116-114 win vs the Suns, Brooks shot a three late in the fourth quarter as LeBron charged towards him. Brooks made the shot and fell due to LeBron’s momentum towards him. It wasn’t called a foul, and Brooks deemed it necessary to give something back to LeBron after that fall. He got up and charged towards LeBron when the ball wasn’t in play, pushing him back with his chest. Brooks was then ejected because of this altercation.

Whether it be in favor of LeBron or it be defending Brooks’ antics, one thing’s for sure: fans are loving this little rivalry of sorts where both players have made their dislike abundantly clear. a glimpse of 90s NBA, as they say.
“He may have earned a spot in the documentary,” one fan joked.
“Love DB but he needs to let go of his obsession with LeBron,” one fan suggested.
“LeBron my fav player but I like brooks man. League needs more of him,” one fan admitted.
“He tryna seem nonchalant but all that eye rolling means he burning inside this is good for basketball,” another claimed.
“He secretly loves Bron! He just don’t wanna admit it,” another joked.
“The type of energy we need in the NBA Im here for it,” one fan said.
“Protect Brooks at all costs!! One of the last real ones left,” another commented.
“I like him idc & I’m a Bron fan,” another admitted.
