    Denver Nuggets vs Boston Celtics: Injury Reports, Starting 5s and Depth Charts (Jan. 6) | 2025-26 NBA Season

    The Denver Nuggets and Boston Celtics lock horns on Wednesday at the TD Garden. The Nuggets enter this clash with a 24-12 record. However, they have been below-average over the past 10 games, winning only four times.

    Nevertheless, they beat the Philadelphia 76ers 125-124 in overtime on Monday despite missing all five starters and sixth man Jonas Valanciunas. Jalen Pickett impressed with a 29-point game, while Zeke Nnaji and Peyton Watson added 20+ points.

    On the other hand, the Celtics are 23-12, currently on a four-game winning streak. They have won eight of their last 10. Boston beat Chicago 115-101 in its previous outing on Monday.

    Jaylen Brown had an off night with only 14 points on 6 of 24 shots, but Anfernee Simons’ 27 points off the bench and Payton Pritchard’s 21 points helped the Celtics maintain their streak.

    The Nuggets have an eight-player injury list. Jamal Murray, Aaron Gordon, Christian Braun and Tim Hardaway Jr. are all questionable to return. Murray is dealing with a left ankle sprain, Gordon is managing a hamstring strain, Braun is managing a left ankle sprain and Hardaway is down with an illness.

    Nikola Jokic, Cam Johnson, Jonas Valanciunas and Tamari Bates will remain absent. Jokic is out with a left knee bone bruise, Johnson has a right knee bone bruise, Valancius is dealing with a right calf strain and Bates is recovering from foot surgery.

    The Celtics will be without Jayson Tatum, Josh Minnott, Ron Harper Jr., Max Shulga and Amari Williams. Tatum is recovering from Achilles surgery and Minnott is out with a left ankle sprain.

    Harper, Shulga and Williams are with the Celtics’ G League team.
