Charles Barkley Hits Stephen Curry And Warriors With Stinging Reality Check

Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors have not made the strides that they would’ve liked. Warriors have struggled to find decent form all season. Despite Stephen Curry still leading the charge with impressive performances, Warriors have not gotten any momentum. This has dropped them down under .500 with a record of 14-15.

Even at the age of 37, Stephen Curry is actually outperforming his career average as of yet. He is averaging 28.8 points, 4.3 rebounds and 4.2 assists in the 20 games he has played so far. Many believe that Steph is not getting that he needs in Golden State. Even with Jimmy Butler’s arrival last season, there have been a lot of reliance on Steph, and sometimes even that is not enough for Warriors to win.

Butler at 36 is averaging 19.8 points, 5.6 rebounds and 4.8 assists. Another one of the biggest stars in Warriors history, Draymond Green, 35, is also pretty much towards the end of his career. Warriors currently have one of the oldest starting 5 in the NBA. Recently, former NBA star Charles Barkley talked about Warriors which might sting head coach Steve Kerr, but also has at least some truth to it.

“They had one of the greatest runs in NBA history but it’s over. They’re just old. Steph is on the Mount Rushmore but he gonna keep breaking down. I don’t think Jimmy is the same player and Draymond definitely not the same player,” Charles Barkley said.

Fans React To Charles Barkley’s Comment On Warriors

Fans pretty much agreed with what Barkley had to say. People realize that Stephen Curry and the rest of the Warriors’ roster might have reached at the point in their careers where they need someone to do the heavy lifting so that they can maintain their fitness, quality and get Warriors across to win games. However, there were few fans as well who did not agree with the sentiment.

“Nah he’s right and we have a coach who cant seem to figure out rotations to save his life rn,” one fan agreed.

“[Barkley] said this in 2020 and den 2022 we won bro just talking we going to win as much we can tho,” one fan backed the current Warriors.

“Finally he’s right about the Warriors,” another was in agreement.

“Curry still in his prime. Idc if he pulls a LeBron and ring chases for the last ring, he deserves better,” one fan said.

“Warriors 2025- 2026 NBA Champions,” another commented.

“Mind you they had the #1 offense and defense when all three play,” another claimed.

“If he was given the right pieces we would be better but he’s being surrounded with bullshit,” one fan said about Steph.

“I agree the warriors are going nowhere this year,” another judged.
