Anthony Davis exited Thursday’s clash between the Dallas Mavericks and Utah Jazz with two minutes left in the fourth quarter. The reported trade candidate apparently suffered a hand injury, forcing him to leave the contest abruptly.
Davis didn’t return the rest of the way and the Mavericks lost 116-114. When he left, Dallas trailed 112-107. While the team managed to keep the Jazz under check by allowing only two points, the Mavericks failed to convert their own chances.
The injury occurred after Davis was guarding Lauri Markkanen on a drive attempt. The collision seemingly caused the issue. Here’s the video of Davis’ injury:
Davis finished the game with 21 points, 11 rebounds and four assists on 50.0% shooting in 35:11 minutes.
