“He Can’t Stop Winning”: Fans React to Kyle Larson’s Consecutive High Limit International Wins at Perth Motorplex

Kyle Larson thrilled fans again after grabbing his second win in the High Limit Racing sprint car series’ international event at Perth Motorplex in Australia recently.

The Hendrick Motorsports driver beat NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series driver Corey Day, Australian driver Dayne Kingshott, and two-time USAC National Midget Champion Michael Kofoid to win the AUD 110,000 High Limit International race on the 3/8-mile dirt track on Tuesday, Dec. 30. The three-day event debuted in 2024, which was also won by Larson, who claimed the then-richest sprint car purse of AUD 100,000 in Australia.

Fans celebrated Larson’s repeat international win and reacted to
High Limit Racing‘s post on X.

    “World 🌎 Champ @KyleLarsonRacin 🏆 ~ he can’t stop winning 👏👊💪,” a fan wrote.

“GOAT DOING GOAT THINGS,” another replied.

“Great race!!!!!!! I love High Limit and sprint cars!” yet another commented.

However, not everyone was as thrilled or even surprised as the rest.

    “Shocker😂,” a fan wrote.

Kyle Larson was also called out by fans on the first day of the international racing event after he was allowed to continue racing with a leaking fuel tank. On lap 22 of the preliminary feature, the 33-year-old suffered a flat right-rear tire and ended the race in 17th place. Fans questioned the fairness of allowing the series’ co-owner to stay in the field.

Kyle Larson’s High Limit Racing Series Completes Second Edition of International Series in Australia

Kyle Larson arrived in a helicopter for the main event at the Australian sprint car race at Perth Motorplex.

The High Limit International upped the stakes this year with bigger prizes and brought together top sprint car stars from the USA and Australia. Corey Day and Rico Abreu faced setbacks during the race and failed to outrun Larson. Day’s right-rear tire blew after many hits on the wall, and Abreu had an engine issue that brought out the caution.

Meanwhile, the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series champion started the feature race in second place beside Aussie driver Kaiden Manders and took the win after taking the lead on the 15th lap.

The 30-lap main event was preceded by two preliminary features. Corey scored the opening feature race victory on Night One of the High Limit International after starting in fourth and fending off pole winner and Manders. The 20-year-old’s strong drive earned him the $15,000 preliminary prize and put him in a strong position for the later events.

In the second preliminary feature on Night Two, Buddy Kofoid dominated much of the race and led the final 11 laps to secure his victory. He finished comfortably ahead of Jock Goodyer in second and Dayne Kingshott in third.

Kyle Larson, who owns the series with World of Outlaws champion and brother-in-law Brad Sweet, will head back to the USA for the 2026 Tulsa Shootout in Oklahoma.
