The Sherrone Moore scandal has rocked Michigan, and part of the fallout from the coach’s firing is expected to include several players entering the transfer portal. Former No. 1 freshman Bryce Underwood reportedly has offers to jump ship already, though he has not yet. Whether he does or not, others are sure to leave, as the scandal has left the Wolverines in a lot of uncertainties.

5 Michigan Wolverines Players Who Could Jump Ship Amid The Sherrone Moore Scandal
Justice Haynes
Running back Justice Haynes has had a monstrous junior year, which ended in injury. He has helped carry the Wolverines in his back before that season-ending injury and is expected to play again. The question now is, will he return for his senior season at Michigan or go to another school via the transfer portal, or even go to the NFL?
Jordan Marshall
When star running back Justice Haynes went down, Jordan Marshall stepped up and had been one of the biggest breakout stars for Michigan. Like a majority of Wolverines players, however, he is now facing a lot of uncertainty after the school fired Sherrone Moore following an investigation found he had an illicit affair with a staffer. It is possible that he might also enter the transfer portal, as other schools may provide him with more stability.
Ty Haywood
A true freshman offensive tackle, Haywood only played in 14 snaps across two games, but he could be developed. He was one of the players recruited by Moore and the coach getting fired may lead to him also jumping ship, especially as the team’s staff now faces a lot of questions and other schools may be able to provide the development he needs.
Nathaniel Owusu-Boateng
This sophomore linebacker only played in 61 snaps over four games, but like Haywood, he could still be developed, especially as he is now coming into his junior year. With the staff at Michigan facing uncertainty, his development with the school may stall and this could lead him entering the transfer portal.
Jyaire Hill
This cornerback is one of Michigan’s premiere defenders, and the Sherrone Moore firing could mean he might also be entering the transfer portal. He has only allowed three touchdowns on 38 targets this season, and this talent could get wasted with Michigan now facing plenty of uncertainty.
