“The Game,” arguably the most intense and historically rich rivalry in college football between the Michigan Wolverines and the Ohio State Buckeyes, saw the latter win the 2025 edition of the matchup with a scoreline of 27-9 last weekend.
The Buckeyes’ win over the Wolverines ended Michigan’s four-win streak in the rivalry as Ohio State marked their first victory of the 2020s as far as this rivalry is concerned.
This defeat not only affected the current Wolverines team, as the collateral of this loss was felt by a former Michigan player, who lost a friendly bet to his current teammate.
Los Angeles Rams running back Blake Corum, who also happens to be a former Michigan State player, was seen donning their archrivals Ohio State’s jersey after the Michigan-based side lost the historic matchup last weekend.
In an Instagram story reshared by Corum, the running back was seen donning an orange-colored Ohio State jersey and was standing alongside the Rams’ Manager of Communications, Khalid Hashi.
The story showcased how Hashi and Corum had a friendly bet on the outcome of the Michigan-Ohio game, with the loser wearing the jersey of their rival college football team.
Hashi, on his story, called Corum “a man of his word!” whilst also writing “Go Bucks” with a couple of laughter emojis.
Corum resharing Hashi’s picture wrote “Bets a Bet” with a facepalm emoji.

Blake Corum committed to the Michigan Wolverines back in 2020, amassing 4,148 yards, and Corum concluded his time with the Wolverines as the program’s record holder in 61 career touchdowns and a total of 356 points scored.
Happy 2️⃣5️⃣th, Blake Corum! 🥳

Meanwhile, his friend Khalid Hashi is a part of the Los Angeles Rams’ PR team, and his Instagram bio suggests he is an Ohio State alumnus.

OSU Quarterback Julian Sayin Named 2025 Big Ten Freshman Of The Year
Ohio State quarterback Julian Sayin has had a breakout 2025 season, leading the No. 1 Buckeyes to a 12-0 record with 3,065 passing yards, 30 touchdowns, and 5 interceptions over 12 games.
His performances throughout the 2025 campaign earned him the Big Ten Freshman of the Year Award after OSU finished their regular CFB season after their win over the Wolverines.
Sayin had an impressive outing against Michigan as the quarterback completed 19 of 26 passes for 233 yards, throwing 3 touchdowns and 1 interception, with a passer rating of 178.7, whilst also contributing 7 rushing yards in the game.
The Wolverines’ loss against OSU quite certainly knocked them out of playoff contention, ending the season with an overall record of 9-3, finishing 4th in the Big Ten.
Ohio State will now face the Indiana Hoosiers in their Big Ten championship game this weekend.
