Following Carson Beck’s transfer to the Miami Hurricanes, the team has turned its attention to 2027 quarterback Teddy Jarrard as the next in line at Coral Gables.

Miami Hurricanes Putting QB Succession Plan in Place With Teddy Jarrard of 2027 Class
College football recruiting season is well underway,, and after making one of the biggest moves of the offseason, the Hurricanes are now looking toward the future. 2027 quarterback Teddy Jarrard visited the program.
Beck made headlines when he transferred from the Georgia Bulldogs to the Canes, and now the school is putting together its plan behind center post-Beck.
Miami had a great season on the back of potential No. 1 overall pick Cam Ward at QB, and now, they have one of the best returning QBs in the country.
They offered Jarrard early in February, and over the weekend, he paid his first visit to Coral Gables and was extremely impressed with what he saw.

Jarrard is a 6’3″, 200-pound QB out of Kennesaw, Ga., and excels as a pocket passer with his tall frame and high release point. He has a great relationship with his receivers and has shown that he has the ability to pick apart defenses when in the pocket and when on the move.
Defenses can be caught off guard with his ability to get the ball out quickly and have little time to react, along with his arm strength showing he can make passes all across the field.
When pressed by defenses he has shown an effectiveness with his legs to work the outside with decent speed and keep the offense ticking over.
As part of the 2027 class there is still plenty of time for him to keep working on his skills at high school and for programs to take notice of his ability. Miami is just another team to show interest, with Auburn Tigers, Wisconsin Badgers, Georgia State Panthers, and Virginia Tech Hokies all offering the QB.
The Canes are one of the top teams in the country and Ward has shown that Miami can work the transfer portal well having added him from the Washington State Cougars. Beck is next and has already shown he is an NFL-ready QB, but another year at college may help his draft prospects come 2026.

Jarrard has the opportunity to be the next in line and continue the run of top-level QBs in South Florida. He still has two years at North Cobb Christian School to add to his tape and build on his already solid skill set.
Physically he is already close to college level and the more he works on his speed and athleticism then he becomes a serious prospect in the 2027 class.
