Auburn has never won a national championship title, and its highest-ever finish was a final four appearance in 2019, where it lost to Virginia. However, it has a fair chance of winning its first title this year as it is currently in the final four of the 2025 NCAA tournament. Meet the parents of Auburn’s rising shooting guard, Miles Kelly, Mevin and Meila Kelly.

Who are Miles Kelly’s parents?
Miles Kelly is the son of Sheila and Melvin Kelly. Melvin died when Miles was in fifth grade. Sheila raised Miles and his sister Myla. Prior to that, Sheila worked as a real estate agent and as a Market Consultant for Equifax. She attended the University of Southern Mississippi, where she graduated with a degree in Marketing.

Myla went to Georgia Southern University for 6 years, pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. She later went on to pursue a master’s degree in Engineering Management from Duke University. She is currently working as a Planning and Regulatory Support – Economic Analyst at Southern Company.
Miles Kelly’s College Career.
Kelly was a four-star recruit from high school and was ranked the No.94 overall athlete by Rivals. He committed to play college basketball for Georgia Tech over despite offers from N.C. State, Texas A&M, Wake Forest, and Miami.
Kelly played 30 games but started just one as a freshman in 21/22. Kelly averaged 14.4 points per game in the 22/23 season. In the 23/24 season, Kelly averaged 13.9 points, 1.8 assists, and 5.5 rebounds per game. He scored a career-high 36 points versus Louisville. He got an all-ACC honorable mention. Kelly transferred to play for the Auburn Tigers in 2024. On his debut for Auburn in November 2024, he dropped 21 points on seven made threes in the season-opener against Vermont. On January 25, 2025, Kelly hit a game-winning three against Tennessee.
On February 8, Kelly scored 22 points against Florida. On March 1, he scored 30 points while sinking nine threes in a win over Kentucky.

Kelly is projected to be a second-round pick in the 2025 NBA draft.
