Rising basketball star Ace Flagg has spent years in the shadow of his twin brother, Cooper, but now he’s making headlines for more than just his skills on the court. Fans are curious about Ace’s personal life-especially his romantic side. Let’s look into Ace Cooper’s love life.
Who Is Ace Flagg’s Girlfriend? Meet the Special Someone in Cooper Flagg’s Brother’s Life
Lizzy Gruber, who’s dating Ace Flagg (Cooper Flagg’s twin brother), is a standout basketball player herself. She’s a 6’4″ center and just made the move to play for the Maine Black Bears women’s team.
Before this, she spent two seasons playing at Saint Joseph’s University in Philly, but now she’s back in her home state-where she really made a name for herself in high school.
Back at Gardiner Area High School, Lizzy was a force on the court. She won Miss Maine Basketball in 2023, which is a huge honor. She racked up over 1,000 points and 1,000 rebounds, and her averages were just wild: 21.1 points, 15.3 rebounds, and 4.2 blocks per game.
One super cool fact-she’s actually the first player in Maine history to get her 1,000th rebound before hitting 1,000 points.
“I’m super excited. One, to join a program that’s so well-coached and seems to be very strong culturally, but also just to be home, in general,” Gruber said about her transfer to Maine. “Just being surrounded by an entire state of people who care about me and love me as much as I love them is very exciting. I can’t wait to get back to that.”
Their Love Life
Ace Flagg and Lizzy Gruber celebrated their second anniversary in October 2024, marking two years of their relationship. The basketball power couple has been open about their romance on social media, frequently sharing glimpses of their journey together.
For their anniversary, Ace posted on Instagram with the caption “730 days with her❤️,” while Lizzy shared a carousel of photos with the sweet message “two years of mailing u love letters💌”.

Their relationship has continued to flourish despite the demands of their respective basketball careers.
In February 2025, Flagg reshared Gruber’s Valentine’s Day Instagram story with the heartfelt message “I love you @lizzy.gruber.” Gruber responded with “I love you @aceflagg. Us everyday” in her original story.
The couple was also spotted together at the March Madness Final Four games in San Antonio, where Ace supported his brother Cooper, who was playing for Duke. Lizzy shared a collage of their time there with the caption “San Antonio, we 💙u.”
Unlike his twin brother Cooper, who keeps his love life under wraps, Ace has been pretty open about dating Lizzy. They’re not shy about it either- you’ll even spot each other’s names with heart emojis in their Instagram bios.
