Michigan’s Best on NBA Radar: Latest Projections for Wolverines’ Big Names

Michigan has a trio of players projected to land with big names as per College Sports Network’s latest 2025 NBA mock draft. So, who are these names?

    1. Danny Wolf | Projected to the Indiana Pacers

Danny Wolf is nothing short of a unicorn in maize and blue. He is 7’0” and somehow playing like a point guard trapped in a center’s body. Wolf was Michigan’s Swiss army knife last season. The CSN mock draft sends him to the Indiana Pacers, and it makes a whole lot of sense.

With Myles Turner potentially heading out in free agency, the Pacers need a big and versatile player. And Danny Wolf is just that. He’s got the range, the handles, and a 7’2″ wingspan. And while ESPN sees him sliding to the Timberwolves via Detroit, CSN puts him in a system that could build around his unique skill set.

Whether Wolf will turn into an actual big or a hybrid forward at the next level is up for debate, but what’s not is that Wolf’s name will be called. Danny Wolf could be the centerpiece of the post-Turner gameplay.

    2. Vladislav Goldin | Projected to the Los Angeles Lakers

Vladislav Goldin is a 7-footer who can run a pick-and-roll and swat shots. The Russian big man transferred to Michigan and made his presence felt. CSN slots him to the Los Angeles Lakers. And let’s be honest, the Lakers ‘ frontcourt needs all the help it can get.

Goldin is not a flashy player, but he has a bruiser down low with good timing and mobility. ESPN also backs the Lakers link, pegging him at pick 55. Goldin brings size and stability when backing Anthony Davis or stepping in when AD’s out. While the Lakers are a team of stars, Goldin could be the man who holds it all together.

    3. Yaxel Lendeborg | Projected to the Boston Celtics

Yaxel Lendeborg is a wildcard. He is not a through-and-through Michigan product. Lendeborg is UAB transfer. CSN sends him to the Boston Celtics, a team likely thinking ahead to life after Al Horford.

Lendeborn is not an average forward. He is 6’9”, 240 lbs with a polished inside-out game. He has been draining threes at a 35.7% clip last season. ESPN drops his name to Brooklyn via New York, but the Celtics make a better fit. He has a good upside, and if his combine showing was any indicator, he might go higher.
