Where Will Georgetown’s Stars Go in 2025 NBA Draft? Latest Projections For Thomas Sorber, Micah Peavy, and Others

With the 2025 NBA Draft approaching, Georgetown basketball fans are eager to see where their top prospects will land. This year, the program has two players expected to be selected: Thomas Sorber and Micah Peavy.

According to the latest CSN mock draft, Sorber is projected as a first-round pick, while Peavy has risen in rankings to be considered a second-round selection. Georgetown does not have additional players projected to be drafted.

Thomas Sorber — Projected First-Round Pick (Utah Jazz)

Sorber, a 6’10”, 255-pound forward/center, brings a dominant physical presence to both ends of the court. He averaged 14.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game for Georgetown, shooting 53.2% from the field.

A CSN mock draft reporter describes Sorber’s potential fit with the Utah Jazz. “That’s not to say he doesn’t have a soft touch around the basket, as he scored 14.5 points for the Hoyas largely on finishes around the basket,” he noted. “Without a physical player down low with offensive capabilities, the Jazz could benefit from taking a shot on Sorber.”

His ability to hold his own in the paint and his rebounding skills make him an ideal fit for a team looking for a solid interior presence.

Micah Peavy — Projected Second-Round Pick (Houston Rockets)

A 6’7″ wing, Peavy has garnered attention as the NBA Draft draws near. At first, he wasn’t expected to be selected. But now, he’s climbing into second-round conversations. His growth as a player has come at the right time.

As a fifth-year senior, Peavy brings both experience and poise. He averaged 17.2 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game, shooting 48.1% from the field. His numbers speak to his consistency and impact on both ends of the court.

A CSN reporter praised his strengths, noting, “As a fifth-year senior, he scored 17.2 points and projects as a shooter on the wing with a chance to develop into a solid role player.”

Peavy’s strong three-point shooting and ability to defend multiple positions give him a real chance to earn playing time at the next level. Despite his initial uncertainty about draft status, his skills can potentially create opportunities in the NBA.
