Florida’s Latest Projections for Walter Clayton Jr., Alex Condon, and Others Based On CSN 2025 Mock Draft

According to our latest CBS Sports two-round mock draft for the 2025 NBA, three Florida players: Walter Clayton Jr., Alex Condon, and Alijah Martin, are projected to be selected, with Clayton in the first round and Condon and Martin in the second.

However, in a recent development, Condon announced that he has decided to withdraw from the draft and return to Florida.

Other Gators, such as Will Richard, are on the draft radar but currently projected to go undrafted. With the draft set for June 25-26, 2025, at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY, pre-draft workouts and combine performances could further elevate their and other undrafted players’ stock.

    Player Projections

    1) Walter Clayton Jr., G (Senior) – No. 25 Overall (Orlando Magic)

Clayton Jr., a 6’3″, 205-pound guard from Bartow, Florida, is projected as the No. 25 pick to the Orlando Magic in the CSN mock draft. Named the 2025 Final Four Most Outstanding Player, Clayton averaged 18.3 points, 4.2 assists, and 3.7 rebounds, shooting 38.6% from three and 43.5% in the NCAA Tournament (22.3 points per game).

His back-to-back 30-point games in the Elite Eight and Final Four made many compare him to Shabazz Napier. Clayton’s clutch performances, including 11 second-half points in the title game against Houston, propelled his rise from a second-round projection to a lottery contender in some experts’ books.

However, even with all his pros, there have been some concerns about his 6-foot-3 frame, defensive limitations, and decision-making skills.

    2) Alijah Martin, G (Senior) – No. 51 Overall (Los Angeles Clippers)

Martin, a 6’2″, 208-pound guard from Florida Atlantic, is projected at No. 51 to the Los Angeles Clippers. Martin averaged 13.1 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 2.9 assists, with a 6’7.5″ wingspan and 8’3.5″ standing that give him an upper hand in defensive positions. His play style is compared to De’Anthony Melton and Derrick Jones Jr.

Martin’s NCAA Tournament performance and combine invite showed his two-way potential. However, his “positional tweener” status, streaky shooting (34.2% from three), and limited playmaking cap his ceiling as a role player. The Clippers, needing backcourt depth, may see Martin as a great option for their bench.

    Undrafted Florida Players

Several Gators, including Will Richard, are absent from our CSN mock draft, however they have the potential to increase their stock and get drafted. Will Richard, a 6-foot-4 senior guard, averaged 11.2 points and shot 40.1% from three, playing a pivotal role in Florida’s title run.

With his 3-and-D potential attracting attention from analysts, but his limited combine invite and lack of elite athleticism keep him off from most of the mocks.
