Warriors vs Jazz Prediction, Starting Lineup And Injury Report Ft. Stephen Curry

Monday is another exciting day to be an NBA fan, as the week is set for a 10-game line-up to begin with. One of the contests to look forward to is the Golden State Warriors facing the Utah Jazz at the Chase Center in San Francisco. Both teams have lost three games consistently, and this matchup could be the one for these teams to redeem themselves as the season progresses further.

So, how will the Warriors matchup against the Jazz for this upcoming showdown? Let’s find out.

    Warriors vs Jazz Predictions

The Warriors currently stand at No. 8 in the West with a 9-9 record after losing three games straight. The Jazz have are also coming off a two-point Sunday loss against the Lakers, but have an abysmal 5-11 record compared to the Warriors. Utah particularly has faced some significant losses, particularly a previous 17-point loss against the Lakers and a 32-point loss against OKC Thunder.

But the Jazz still seem to be showing some form of resilience for fans to keep hope. Against OKC, the Jazz were leading by 18-points at one point and against the Lakers, they could have clinched a win if they would have hit the buzzers. It’s noteworthy to mention how Utah has the sixth-best 3-point conversion rate in the league at 41.1%. This could perhaps help them against a struggling Warriors team for this matchup.

Frustrations are up for the Warriors too. The Dubs faced recent losses against Orlando Magic and Miami Heat on the road, as well as a four-point loss against the Portland Trail Blazers in the NBA Cup on Friday. But the Warriors are still reliant on Stephen Curry, who is averaging 27 points, 5.3 assists, and 3.3 rebounds over the last three games. Jimmy Butler III has also been averaging 23.7 points, 6.3 assists and 6.0 rebounds in this same stretch.

However, the Jazz could perhaps close out on this one. If Lauri Markkanen and Keyonte George are available to play, then Utah’s offensive firepower isn’t something to be undermined. For the Warriors, they might need a lot of their supporting cast to show up in order to clinch this win. ESPN’s matchup predictor estimates 86% chance of the Warriors to win this game at home.

    Warriors vs Jazz Injuries

For the Golden State Warriors, there is an increasing concern about Draymond Green appearing for this matchup. After the game against Portland, Green suffered a foot sprain after a collision with Blazers’ Donovan Clingan. The Warriors have confirmed Green has undergone an MRI scan and his game-day status will be updated ahead of the tipoff. On the other hand, Al Horford will also be missing the next-three games after suffering a sciatic injury following the game against Portland. Jonathan Kuminga, who missed the last five games, will still remain from the sidelines as he recovers from bilateral patellar tendinitis. There is no timeline available for Kuminga’s return.

For the Utah Jazz, only two players significantly appear on their injury report. Georges Niang and Walker Kessler will continue to sit out for this game. While Niang is recovering from his ankle sprain, Kessler is still recovering from his shoulder injury as well. Kessler’s absence could hurt the Jazz as they could miss out on rim protection and rebounding without him.
