San Antonio Spurs superstar Victor Wembanyama seems to have been reaping the results of his unorthodox training throughout the 2025 NBA offseason. On Monday, Oct. 13, @sportscenter on Instagram posted a couple of clips from the Spurs’ recent preseason game against the Indiana Pacers in away territory, the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Wembanyama is first seen driving against Pacers center Isaiah Jackson. A single bump moved the Indiana stalwart, as the 7’4 sensation rose for a two-handed slam. This was seen by SportsCenter as reminiscent of NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal.
In another video, Wembanyama dunked on Jackson once again, before stealing the ball and setting guard Stephon Castle up for an alley-oop.
“WEMBY COMING DIFFERENT 😮💨,” @sportscenter on Instagram captioned with an emoji.

Basketball fans online praised and reacted to Wembanyama’s highlight.
“Jesus Christ, this is terrifying,” one fan wrote with a laughing emoji.

“Yeah, once he gets into the mode, it’s going to be scary,” another fan claimed.

“The league has about two more years,” another user said.

“Nah, he’s really our first alien on earth and everyone is just allowing him to destroy the basketball world,” a fan commented with several emojis.

Other users started to compare Wembanyama to other great NBA big men, both active and inactive.
“Mannn, Shaq wasn’t moving like that,” one fan posted with a couple of laughing emojis.

“That workout with KG turned this man into a villain,” another fan shared.

“That’s more like Giannis LOL, the league is doomed,” a fan pointed out with an emoji.

Wembanyama and the rest of coach Mitch Johnson’s Spurs boast an undefeated 4-0 record in the preseason so far. They will look to defeat coach Rick Carlisle’s Pacers once again in their final preseason affair on Friday, Oct. 17, this time at their home arena, the Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, Texas.
