Victor Wembanyama Creates NBA Record That Even Michael Jordan And LeBron James Couldn’t

San Antonio Spurs superstar Victor Wembanyama just tallied a stat line in one game that not even a couple of the all-time NBA greats could achieve. On Monday, Nov. 10, Wembanyama and the rest of coach Mitch Johnson’s Spurs faced coach Billy Donovan’s Chicago Bulls for the continuation of the early 2025-26 season in away territory, the United Center in Chicago, Illinois, through which they were pursuing win No. 8.

For the game, Wembanyama’s final outing was a historic output, one that not even current Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James and former Bulls sensation Michael Jordan ever pulled off in their lengthy careers. This is because, as reported by @ClutchPoints on X/Twitter, Wembanyama became the first ever player in NBA history to have at least 35 points, 10 rebounds, five assists, five blocks and five threes made in just one game.

Eventually, Wembanyama finished with a game-high 38 points on 11-of-19 overall shooting, including an impressive 6-for-9 three-point tally, 12 rebounds, five assists, a steal and five blocks in 36 minutes of action. The young stalwart also went perfect from the free-throw line, to the tune of a 10-for-10 line. Both James and Jordan, despite their plethora of historical performances, have never achieved such a one-game stat line.

With this, Wembanyama and Co. eventually won the game against the Bulls by a mere four points, 121-117, to improve to an overall record of 8-2 so far, which is good for the No. 2 seed in the Western Conference. Moving on from this victory, the Spurs will take on coach Steve Kerr’s Golden State Warriors next on Wednesday, Nov. 12, on their home floor, the Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, Texas.

If there are any doubts that Victor Wembanyama can become the go-to guy in the clutch for the San Antonio Spurs, then he likely shut it all down with his game-clinching play against the Chicago Bulls. With 36 seconds left to go in the game, Wembanyama called an isolation play by waving his teammates off as he was being guarded by Bulls center Nikola Vucevic at the top of the key by the three-point line.

Wembanyama then went for a series of size moves on Vucevic, which included a couple of between-the-legs crossovers and hesitations. Once he was able to shake his defender, Wembanyama pulled up for a three-pointer and sank in what eventually became the go-ahead basket for the San Antonio Spurs’ triumph.
