    Key Games

Between conference tournament games and late-season rivalries, there are all kinds of good matchups taking place today and tonight.

    Here are some of them:

Southern Illinois at Drake, 1:00 p.m. ET

Taking place in the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament, this game is all about the Drake Bulldogs.

After a remarkable regular season, thanks to Ben McCollum’s coaching and the play of guard Bennett Stirtz, this team is poised to surprise many people down the stretch.

If this team can end up winning their conference tournament, they will be right in their groove ahead of the NCAA Tournament.

No. 18 Purdue at Illinois, 8:00 p.m. ET

With the Boilermakers set to make the NCAA Tournament once again under head coach Matt Painter, the Illini are still trying to cement their status as a tournament team.

A win over the 18th-ranked Boilermakers could help them do just that.

This will be the only time this year that these two foes will face off against each other in the regular season.

South Florida at No. 16 Memphis, 9:00 p.m. ET

Much like Southern Illinois against Drake, this game is all about one team.

Penny Hardaway’s Memphis Tigers are atop the American Athletic Conference at 25-5 overall (15-2 in conference) and have had plenty of key wins this year.

They have beaten then-top-25 teams in Missouri, Michigan State, Clemson, and they also upended the reigning national champion-UConn Huskies.

As this team prepares for the NCAA Tournament, riding their fifth consecutive win into the conference tournament sounds like a nice plan.

Colorado State at Boise State, 10 p.m. ET

In the final game of the regular season for both teams ahead of the Mountain West Tournament, the stakes are quite high.
