Todd Golden Investigation: What To Know About Allegations Against the Florida Gators Coach

These charges were documented in a Title IX complaint submitted on Sept. 27, 2024, alleging that Golden made unwanted sexual approaches, sent explicit photos and videos via social media, and stalked many women, including University of Florida students.

The University’s Title IX office launched a thorough investigation, which included multiple interviews over several months. On Jan. 27, 2025, the University declared that the investigation found no evidence that Golden had violated Title IX policies, clearing him of the allegations.

Throughout the investigation, Golden maintained his innocence and expressed frustration with breaches of confidentiality. He also stated that he was considering taking legal action against those who he believed had defamed him during the process.

Despite the off-court drama, Golden led the Gators to a successful season, including an outstanding SEC Tournament championship. The team remained focused on their NCAA Tournament goals, with players openly expressing their support for Golden.

Since he has been legally exonerated, Golden has returned to basketball, hoping to lead the Gators to a competitive March Madness run. His priority remains to lead his squad while dealing with the long-term consequences of the accusations on his personal and professional reputation.

Golden’s Title IX inquiry proved no evidence of misconduct, allowing him to remain as Florida’s head coach. While the allegations drew attention, his innocence assures that he stays in charge of the Gators’ basketball program.
