    Title IX Investigation Finds No Evidence of Misconduct for Florida HC Todd Golden

    Though the Florida Gators have been one of the top teams in the country this season, head coach Todd Golden has been coaching under a cloud of uncertainty after being accused of sexual harassment, cyberstalking, and stalking by multiple women.

    Monday, AP’s Mark Long reported that Florida has closed its investigation with no evidence of wrongdoing.

    Florida Title IX Investigation Clears Todd Golden

    Todd Golden confirmed that he was under investigation by Florida Gators administration after being accused of stalking, cyberstalking, and sexual harassment by several women, including students.

    He maintained his innocence and was never suspended during the investigation. According to a statement from the university, Golden has been cleared and the investigation is complete.

    According to a short statement from Florida, the Title IX office “found no evidence that men’s basketball coach Todd Golden violated Title IX. The Title IX office has closed its investigation.”

    While Golden has not yet commented, his attorney has released a statement in which he accuses some involved of trying to “target Coach Golden and drive their agenda … for their own self-interest.

    The Florida Gators are 18-2 (5-2 SEC) and currently ranked inside the top 5. The Gators will play Tennessee in Knoxville on Feb. 1.

    Golden holds a 115-67 record after coaching San Francisco for three years. He’s in his third year as Florida’s head coach, and he made the NCAA tournament in 2024.

    The Gators are in the hunt for a 1-seed. As of now, it seems that the matter is closed.
