Chaney, who holds dual citizenship from Côte d’Ivoire and Switzerland, has been a standout performer this season, averaging 17.8 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 4.6 assists per game while shooting an efficient 46.6% from the field.

His recent performances speak volumes. In his last five games alone, he recorded standout outings like a 28-point, 9-rebound game against Aix-Maurienne and a 17-point, 9-assist performance against Chartres.

Not only can he score at all three levels, but he’s also a capable playmaker who keeps his teammates involved and defenses guessing. His efficiency and versatility have ranked him among the top scorers and assist leaders in U21B play this season.

Beyond domestic league play, Chaney made waves on the international stage during the U18 AfroBasket tournament last fall. Representing Côte d’Ivoire, he averaged 12 points, 2.4 rebounds, and a stellar 6.2 assists per game, further proving his versatility and ability to perform under pressure.

What makes Chaney especially intriguing to college coaches is his blend of speed, body control, and leadership. He’s a high-IQ distributor who can manage a game, create in the half-court, or get downhill in transition.

While his three-point shooting remains an area for growth (just 1-of-8 in one recent game), he’s shown flashes of deep range and improved mechanics that could translate well with NCAA coaching and development.

Now affiliated with Fribourg Olympic (SUI) and still eligible for the 2025 class, Chaney’s focus is on finding the right collegiate fit where he can continue to grow his game while earning an education. His combination of international experience, athleticism, and basketball IQ makes him a high-upside recruit with immediate potential at the NCAA level.

As he begins exploring the NCAA route, expect programs across the country to start paying close attention. Chaney may not be a household name yet, but his trajectory suggests he won’t be under the radar for long.
