    Players Leaving Texas A&M

Wade Taylor IV — the school’s all-time leading scorer, Taylor IV averaged 15.7 ppg and dished out 4.3 apg in 2024-25, leading the team in scoring and providing huge clutch baskets across his entire four-year career. Taylor IV will soon graduate and is expected to enter his name into the NBA Draft.

Henry Coleman III — an enforcer down low, the fifth-year senior averaged 7.5 ppg and 5.5 rpg this season while providing veteran leadership. He will graduate and move on from the Texas A&M program.

Rob Dockery — to date, the only Aggie to enter the transfer portal, Dockery appeared in only one game this season, scoring two points on 1 of four shooting against the UCF Knights in November. A three-star recruit in the 2024 class, Dockery is expected to have multiple suitors as a length 6’6″ swingman.

    Players Joining Texas A&M

There are currently no players slated to join the Texas A&M program at the moment, thought reports have swirled of several contacts that coach Buzz Williams and his staff have made, as well an in-person visit.

Northern Colorado guard Langston Reynolds visited College Station recently after recording career highs in points (16.0 ppg), assists (3.4 apg), and rebounds (5.6 rpg) as a junior in 2024-25.

The staff has also reportedly reached out to former UCLA Bruins guard Sebastian Mack, who averaged 9.6 ppg this past season, and UCF Knights’ wing Keyshawn Hall, who led the Big 12 in scoring with 18.8 ppg while grabbing 7.1 rpg.

    Impact on Team

Each player listed above would be a huge get for Williams and his staff as they piece together the losses of Taylor IV and seven other senior graduates.

For four seasons, Taylor IV was given the keys to the offense and the green light to shoot from wherever on the court while also possessing the ability to create open looks for others. That’s a tough role to replace, as the loss of him could very well shift the way the Aggies play.

Graduating eight seniors is never easy, as the culture of the program will take on a different look with new leaders moving up the ranks.

    Future Outlook

Looking forward, Williams and his staff will have to come together and figure out what his team’s play style will be. As is life in the current day and age of college basketball, as rosters are constantly shifting and coaches are forced to adjust or be passed by.

The SEC was arguably the best conference in recent history, and the Aggies more than held their own by finishing fifth in the regular-season standings.

Currently, they look to be one of the more inexperienced teams heading into the 2025-26 season — but look for Williams to continue to contract a malleable team soon enough.
