‘Greatest 18-Point Game of All Time’ – Fans React to Taylen Kinney’s Savage Response to Getting Punched

Taylen Kinney is one of the top recruits in the 2026 recruiting class. According to 247Sports, he is the No. 11-ranked player in his class. He has not committed to a college yet. Despite that, he is still making highlights on the basketball court. On Saturday, the Overtime Instagram account posted a clip of Taylen Kinney’s dominant performance in a game after getting punched in the face.

On the next play, Kinney attacked the defender who punched him, doing a spin move to score. On the play after that, he scored while drawing a foul and earning an extra point at the free-throw line. Kinney then started dunking aggressively whenever he got the chance and trash-talking his opponents.

This led to a big reaction from fans as they made their thoughts known in the Instagram comments. However, many pointed out that the clip made it seem like he had a much bigger performance than simply scoring 18 points.

“Greatest 18 point game of all time,” one fan wrote.

“Loudest 18 points ive ever seen,” one fan commented.

“I woulda thought he had 25+ with these highlights,” one fan added.

Fans continued to react in the comments.

“Hate to be a hater but this is probs the only time i’ll be happy to watch that 😂. bro does way too much he’s so jarring. just play your game. tuff hopper but he’s a child,” one fan wrote.

Taylen Kinney Went on an Official Visit to Kentucky in June

As a 2026 recruit, Taylen Kinney does not need to commit to a school yet. He can wait to make his official decision until next year. However, most top players commit to a school well before the deadline.

Kinney has not been in a rush to pick his college and commit to a program. However, he has started to go on official visits. In June, he visited the University of Kentucky. He is reportedly one of the Wildcats’ top targets for next year’s class.

Taylen Kinney has already had official visits to Purdue and Louisville as well. He is scheduled to attend Oregon in September. As a result, it will likely be several months before he makes his official commitment.
