Syracuse commit Kiyan Anthony was caught on video showcasing his talent in front of NBA Scouts during the Nike Hoop Summit ahead of his first season in NCAA Basketball.
Kiyan, who is the son of Syracuse legend Carmelo Anthony, committed to the program despite offers from Auburn, Ohio State, and Florida State.

Kiyan Anthony Dropped a Historic NBPA Top 100 Camp Performance
During the most recent NBPA camp in Orlando, Florida, Kiyan was once again caught on video showing out as he dropped 34 points against some of the top-ranked prospects in the country.

This was also not the first time the shooting guard was caught on film showcasing his talent during an NBPA Top 100 event.
Just last year, Carmelo Anthony’s son was caught on tape during the event, scoring 35 points against some of the Nation’s top high school players at the time.
Kiyan also performed better later in that year’s event, dropping a 42-point game that earned him a shoutout from his father. Anthony currently holds the record for a camp-best 28.5 points per game during the event, proving that his reputation as one of the best pure-scoring prospects in this year’s class is not unfounded.
“I just want him to go have fun. Go have fun, and enjoy the college experience. I want him to develop and get better on the court” Kiyan’s father explained when discussing his expectations for his son’s first season.
If Kiyan goes straight into the lineup like his father did, he and Syracuse will start the season with a clash against New Hampshire in five months.
Who is the Son of the Former Syracuse Champion?
The last time the Orange won an NCAA Championship, Kiyan’s father, Carmelo, was playing his first and final season in the NCAA, winning the tournament’s most outstanding player to help Syracuse to the title.
22 years on from that historic season, Syracuse is looking to replicate that championship season with the son of the NBA Great, Kiyan Anthony.
“This is my dad’s legacy, but it’s also about what I can bring. I know the expectations, and I’m ready to work hard to meet them.” Kiyan said after committing to the program.
