“Sounds Like She’s Divorced”: Fans Slam Stephen Curry’s Wife Ayesha After Saying She Never Wanted Children

Ayesha Curry, the wife of Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry, is receiving backlash over recent comments she made about her life in an interview. On Saturday, Oct. 4, @courtsidebuzzig on Instagram shared clips of Ayesha from the “Call Her Daddy” podcast.

Ayesha Curry talked about her relationship with Stephen Curry and the family life that they share. Ayesha shared that getting married and having kids is something she didn’t really envision for herself growing up, and instead saw herself as a career-oriented person. Nevertheless, she said she is grateful for the life she has with her husband.

However, basketball fans slammed Ayesha Curry for sounding ungrateful.

“She’s still married to Steph?? Sounds like she’s divorced 😂,” one fan shared with a laughing emoji.

“I get where she’s coming from but why not just saying Steph made you change your mind and you’re happy with this family. She wouldn’t even trade the life she has thanks to this family,” another fan said.

“Why is she always slandering his name? I don’t know how Steph puts up with this,” another user wondered.

“Did she even consider how her kids would feel after seeing this?” a fan questioned.

Some users felt the statements made by Ayesha Curry were taken out of context.

“I feel like this is taken out of context. She’s talking about she was focused on her career when she was a child/teenager moving to LA to be an actress. After she started to date Stephen, everything changed. Plus the ‘doesn’t understand her’ comment is about how they both look at criticism in the media/online differently,” one fan wrote.

“This was taken out of context, right? I mean she didn’t just have one child, she birthed four whole humans. She needs a publicist or manager with her to help these statements come out right 🤦🏽‍♀️,” another fan commented with an emoji.

“I think I understand her, but she is coming off as just really selfish,” a fan posted.

Stephen Curry’s Wife Ayesha Curry Said Her Focus Towards Her Career Disappeared With Her First Child

On the “Call Her Daddy” podcast, Ayesha Curry also shared that while she was always focused on her own career, that focus vanished when she and Stephen Curry started their family.

But even with this, Ayesha reasserted that she is finding a balance between her family life and her professional life.

“After we got married, we found out we were pregnant with our daughters so quickly, I didn’t even have time to think about what I wanted anymore. It’s so interesting. I spent my entire life trying to work towards something, and then it kind of just disappeared. Being a shift,  being like, uh, I have goals for myself, like, this doesn’t feel right. I love being a mom, but I love doing other things too,” Ayesha Curry explained.
