Day After Tragic Catholic School Shooting Claims Two Lives, Former Huskies Star’s GF Calls Out Authorities in Emotional Message

The rampant issue of gun violence continues to take innocent lives in the US. And people have had enough, and they want the authorities to take stern action against it. Recently, former Huskies star Jaden McDaniels’ girlfriend, Allison Audrey, put out a message on social media.

The most recent mass shooting happened in a Minneapolis Catholic school on Wednesday. The incident took the lives of two children, aged 8 and 10. 17 other people, including 14 children, were injured in the mass shooting as per authorities.

After the incident, Audrey, took to X to express her feelings about it. She questioned the government over the loss of innocent lives.

“Not sure how many innocent children have to die for the govt to regulate gun laws,” Audrey wrote.

As per the reports, the shooter’s name is Robin Westman. The Minneapolis shooter, in their early 20s, who had a limited criminal history, died by suicide. The FBI is investigating the incident as a possible hate crime and act of domestic terrorism. The tragedy, as always, has drawn national attention.

President Trump has ordered flags at half-staff, and Pope Francis is offering prayers for the victims. Vigils have been held across Minneapolis as the community grieves and leaders call for unity.

On a professional front, McDaniels is going on his sixth season with the Minnesota Timberwolves. The 28th overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft has gotten progressively better over the last few years.

In the 2024-25 season, he averaged 12.2 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 2.0 assists in 82 games for the franchise. The Timberwolves, led by Anthony Edwards, McDaniels, and co., made back-to-back Conference Finals appearances. They were knocked out by the OKC Thunders last season and by the Dallas Mavericks the season before.
