Anthony Thompson Shows off Top-15 List
Thompson is holding at least 30 offers from Division 1 programs. He’s made unofficial visits to some of them, while he’s received several visits from some head coaches. On Friday, Thompson announced on his Instagram that he’s now down to 15 schools.
Thompson’s list includes Louisville, Auburn, BYU, Georgetown, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Michigan State, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Purdue, Texas, and Xavier.
Michigan State hosted Thompson for an unofficial visit last October. He’s also visited Michigan, Ohio State, Kentucky, Cincinnati, and Indiana unofficially. Thompson is preparing to play with Indiana Elite over the summer this year. He’s already dazzled this month, averaging 24 points and 10 rebounds in two games with Indiana Elite on April 12.
Thompson brings impressive size and versatility to the court. He can score on multiple levels, finish through contact, and stretch defenses with his three-point shot. He has also proven that he can grab rebounds effectively.
“It was good to go there and see it in person. This was my first trip there, so it was good to see how they played in game and their play style live. I watched their wings and what they do with Koby Brea and Jaxon Robinson. They’re both shooters, so I was able to see in person what they did,” Thompson said after his visit to Kentucky.
“I talk with the staff a lot. We call or text often. Coach (Mark) Pope is a great person and coach. He’s very positive and there for his players. He is a player’s coach, and always there to help out”.
He also shared his thoughts after visiting Indiana.

“I went there last year as well, so this was my second visit to Indiana. Being back was good, so we are continuing to build our relationship. They play fast and through their wings, which is good for me to see. They’re continuing to stay in contact throughout the season. I’m talking mostly with Coach (Brian) Walsh and Coach Rose (Yasir Rosemond).”
