Myles Herro, Brother of Tyler Herro, Commits to Ohio State; Remember When He Played Kiyan Anthony?

The Ohio State men’s basketball team has taken a major step forward in building its 2025–26 roster by adding Myles Herro, the 2025 three-star wing brother of NBA star Tyler Herro.

The 6’3″ guard out of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, announced his commitment to the Buckeyes over the weekend, telling On3 Sports about his decision. Herro, a three-star recruit, according to 247Sports, becomes the latest member of the Buckeyes’ 2025 class, joining forward A’mare Bynum.

Ohio State Lands Another Backcourt Talent in Myles Herro, Brother of Tyler Herro

Myles Herro brings scoring, rebounding, and playmaking to Columbus. He averaged 21.5 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 4.7 assists in his senior season at Whitnall High School. A dynamic guard with natural instincts and a sharp shooting touch, Herro follows in the footsteps of his older brother, NBA player Tyler Herro.

His commitment comes at a pivotal time for Ohio State, who recently lost a key piece in guard Dorian Jones, previously expected to join the team. Herro’s addition helps stabilize the class and gives the Buckeyes a versatile backcourt presence who can impact the game on both ends.

Following Myles Herro’s Commitment, Let’s Look Back at his Battle With Kiyan Anthony

In 2022, at the Ballin On The Beach Tournament in Fort Lauderdale, Kiyan Anthony’s Black Ops squad took on Herro’s Team Herro in a thrilling, back-and-forth matchup that electrified the gym.

Anthony and Herro both were stars for their respective teams and spearheaded their squads’ offensive efforts.

Adding to the intensity, Carmelo Anthony, Anthony’s father and former NBA star, coached from the bench, while Tyler Herro, Myles’s older brother and NBA guard, watched from a bird’s eye view.

The game came down to the wire, ending with a buzzer-beater that sealed a victory for Team Herro. The excitement was so high that the crowd stormed the court immediately after the final shot.

The 6’5″ guard helped the Crusaders to a 21–5 record and a top-25 national ranking. His standout moments included 25 points against Oak Hill Academy and 16 points at the Hoophall Classic, contributing to his four-star status and a top-50 ESPN ranking in the Class of 2025.

The son of former NBA star Carmelo Anthony, Kiyan has committed to Syracuse, following in his father’s footsteps. The young gun now heads to the ACC with the opportunity to carve out his own legacy at a school where his father once became a legend.
