The Dallas Mavericks have been going through some big changes for a few months now. Starting from Mark Cuban’s exit in late 2024, to a poor end to the season, to Luka Doncic’s trade to Lakers. Now the Mavericks have fired their GM Nico Harrison.
Mavs fans had been furious with the GM ever since their superstar’s departure. Now after weeks of anticipation, Mavs have taken the tough decision. Recently Mavs’ ex-minority owner Mark Cuban commented on the infamous trade of Luka Doncic. Now after Nico Harrison’s firing, Mavs governor Patrick Dumont made his feelings clear about Luka Doncic’s trade.

Fans reacted to Patrick Dumont’s admission and Nico Harrison’s firing.
““Time will tell if I’m right” – Nico Harrison And time told that you’re not right in less than a year,” one fan said.
“Nico is the greatest Lakers GM ever,” one fan mocked former Mavs GM.
“”Mistakingly” trading franchise player just a year after making finals,” one fan reacted in shock.
“I’m not sure this is him taking accountability! Admitting this to a fan and then firing the GM doesn’t scream accountability,” one fan claimed.
“So either he’s either scapegoating Nico or is admitting he’s a f*cking idiot to not know what Luka meant to that city,” one fan used stern words.
Mark Cuban’s Comment About Luka Doncic’s Exit From Mavs
Cuban recently revisited Luka Doncic’s trade to LeBron James’ Lakers.
“I’m happy for Luka, because he’s a great guy, he’s just a really special human being, his family is great,” Mark Cuban said to Stephen A. Smith. “It’s painful. As a Mavs fan, and as somebody who, potentially, if I would’ve done a better job of just defining my role in advance, might not have happened. It hurts me, I know it kills Mavs fans everywhere, but I’m happy for Luka.”
