“That Boy Home”: Lakers Legend LeBron James Can’t Keep Calm as Son Bryce James Kickstarts College Journey at Arizona

Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James is best known for his accomplishments on the basketball court. As a member of the Cleveland Cavaliers, Miami Heat and Los Angeles Lakers, he has won four NBA championships and is widely regarded as one of the two greatest players of all-time, alongside Michael Jordan. However, in the past few years, he has been in the news because of his sons.

His eldest son, Bronny James, started his college and pro basketball career over the past few years, and this coming season, his younger son, Bryce James, will play his first season in college. Bryce signed with the Arizona Wildcats in April and will be a member of the team this year. On Tuesday, the Bleacher Report Instagram account reposted a video from LeBron James where Bryce James returned home briefly from college. LeBron had difficulty containing his excitement.

“That boy home from college for a little bit,” LeBron James said in a singsong voice. “That boy from college for a little bit. Y’all see this beard, oh my goodness.”

Bryce James Reveals the Advice He Got From LeBron James Ahead of His Freshman Season

Unlike his father, LeBron James, Bryce James is not a no-doubt, five-star prospect. He was a three-star recruit, and as a result, there is no guarantee he will play in his first college season. There is a chance he could redshirt, and if he plays, it could be in a limited role. Despite that, Bryce is entering his college career with a positive attitude. On Tuesday, he spoke with the media about the advice he got from his father before starting his college career.

“Just working hard and coming in and doing what you do best,” Bryce James said. “Making sure if you’re not having some good days, always have to stay positive. Miss a shot, maybe get a turnover or something, don’t hang your head down. Always keep your head up. Push through and stay positive.”

Arizona head coach Tommy Lloyd has had nothing but positive things to say about Bryce James. Earlier this offseason, he spoke about how he always shows up to practice with a smile on his face and works hard.
