IN PIC: LeBron James’ Son, Bronny James, Enjoys Cozy Vacation With Girlfriend Parker Whitfield

Lakers guard and LeBron James’ eldest son, Bronny James, recently celebrated his relationship anniversary with Parker Whitfield. James and Whitfield first made their relationship public when they were spotted together at the Paris Olympics in August 2024.

Since then, James has made his NBA debut, becoming the only father-son duo in the history of the league to play together. To celebrate the occasion, James went on a vacation with his girlfriend, who posted pictures on her Instagram.

James posted a selfie with Whitfield on his Instagram story. He captioned the picture:

Whitfield later reposted the image on her IG story. She also uploaded a new picture with James. She was seen wearing a bikini, which matched James’ shorts.

James and Whitfield met at Sierra Canyon High School. While Whitfield, the daughter of actors Dondré Whitfield and Salli Richardson, initially kept a low profile, James has been more open in expressing his feelings toward her.

Whitfield now has a public Instagram account, and James’ comments can be seen on several of her posts.

Other than his love life, last year was full of ups and downs for James. Even though he realized his dream of becoming an NBA player, he faced the media’s scrutiny like no other rookie in the history of the league.

Being the son of the all-time leading scorer, there were similar expectations for James. However, it was clear from the get-go that he needed some more time to get used to the NBA standard of basketball. Ideally, he should’ve been given that time to grow, as it’s usually provided to all the rookies, let alone a 2nd round, 55th overall pick.

But the media didn’t go easy on him. It led to a lot of tension around the league, most notably of which was when LeBron James pressed Stephen A. Smith for constantly berating his son.

Bronny James Clapped Back at His Critics

What James went through in his rookie year was unprecedented. There have been players, especially rookies, who have had a lot of expectations on their shoulders. His own father had arguably the biggest hype around for any rookie. But in his case, it was clearly unfair because he wasn’t a top draft pick.

After months of being berated in the media, James finally spoke up during a conversation with The Athletic. He said:

“My first thought about everything is I always try to just let it go through one ear and out the other, put my head down and come to work and be positive every day.”

“But sometimes it just, it fuels me a little bit. I see everything that people are saying, and people think, like, I’m a f**kin’ robot, like I don’t have any feelings or emotions.”

Despite everything that was thrown at him, James stated that he always tries to use the naysayers’ opinions as fuel to motivate himself. In his rookie year, he averaged 2.3 points, 0.8 assists, and 0.7 rebounds in 27 games.

As he continues to grow under JJ Redick’s mentorship, it won’t be long until he finds his spot on the team and becomes an important member of the Lakers organization.
