LaMelo Ball has had basketball fans talking with plenty of dramatic plays and injury news lately. But off the court, his girlfriend Ana Montana is grabbing attention of her own. She took to Instagram recently, posting multiple photos from a vacation in Arizona.
In those photos, she models a colorful bikini. Montana was seen relaxing and posing for pictures next to a pool in what looked like a house built on a hilltop. She captioned the post:
“Love&Happiness🙏🏾💕”

While she was not alone on the trip to Arizona, Montana only posted pictures of herself on Instagram. The images highlight her aesthetic sense and the relaxed mood of the trip.
Ball has been under the spotlight for both performance and health. In the 2024-25 regular season, he averaged 25.2 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 7.4 assists per game. He had some of his best scoring nights, including a 50-point explosion against Milwaukee and a 44-point follow-up in another game.
But his season was cut short. He underwent procedures for ankle and wrist issues in March and was ruled out for the rest of the campaign. Going into new seasons or exhibitions, expectations remain high.
Fans and analysts expect him to return at full strength, still leading the Hornets’ offense and shouldering big minutes. Yet there is caution, given his injury history.
The NBA preseason is underway, and the spotlight is once again on Ball to see whether he can make a difference this time for the Hornets in what has been a poor stretch in recent years. So far, the Hornets have played three preseason games.
They lost the first two against the Thunder and won their most recent game 120-116 against the Mavericks.
Charlie Villanueva Believes LaMelo Ball Has Reached His Ceiling
Ball is one of the most exciting players in the league. When he’s not out with injuries, he can be a real threat to any opponent. While he continues to register big numbers constantly, he hasn’t been able to convert them into wins for his team.
While his half-court shots, layups, and unmatched style are unmistakable, many believe that Ball needs to tweak his game in order to be the franchise hero he’s expected to be. However, Charlie Villanueva has a different take on him.
“Big year for Melo? He reached his ceiling, how much more he’s gonna do?” Villanueva said on his PODCAST. “LaMelo has been LaMelo since f**king high school. He’s been the same fu-king player the whole time. He’s not gonna change his game.”
“25, seven and five? So, that’s not his ceiling? That is his ceiling, how much more? 30, 10 and 10? That’s what you need him to average in order for him to win? You’re not winning with him, f**king kidding me,” he added.
Ball has the opportunity to turn things around this season. While the competition is going to be tough in the Eastern Conference, there’s still hope solely based on the talent he possesses.
