Duke freshman guard Kon Knueppel had a standout 2024-25 season, averaging 14.4 points, 3.9 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 1.0 steals over 39 games while shooting 47.9% from the field, 40.6% from three, and 91.4% from the free-throw line. The 6’7″ Milwaukee native earned ACC Tournament MVP honors after leading Duke to a title.
Knueppel’s steady play and clutch performances, especially while filling in as Duke’s top option during Cooper Flagg’s injury, helped solidify his status as a projected pick in the 2025 NBA Draft.

As he prepares for the next level, Knueppel said he’s focused on improving his shooting off the dribble, finishing at the rim, and defending.
When watching film of Knueppel, it’s clear he models much of his game after Butler, especially in his footwork and how he attacks the rim. His patience and timing reflect Butler’s influence, and Knueppel uses a very effective pump fake to create space and get defenders off balance.
