“They Would Get Police To Escort You Out”: Kevin Durant Blasts Fan In Fiery Social Media Exchange

Kevin Durant is no stranger to heated exchanges with fans. He has a strong social media presence, especially on X, with nearly 21 million followers. For KD, arguing about basketball among other sports is an everyday thing.

Recently, a fan went off on the two-time NBA Champion, which ignited another fiery exchange. The Warriors fan, pleased with the direction his team is headed with the addition of Jimmy Butler, took a shot at KD.

Using colorful language, the fan stated that the Warriors “Dodged a f**king bullet” when Durant stepped away from the franchise. As someone who won two championships with the team, KD didn’t like the message.

“You aren’t on the team my boy lol,” he responded.

Another fan picked up on Durant’s post and criticized him for belittling fans’ involvement in a team.

“Nothing irritates me more than players thinking fans can’t call it their team,” the fan wrote. “Without fans yall wouldn’t have sh*t! KD continues to remain the softest and most outta touch dude in the NBA.”

Known for not holding back, KD had to respond in his typical style. The NBA superstar mocked the fan for being obsessed and gave him a reality check.

“Out of touch fans like Matt thinks because he’s obsessed with the bears, he’s apart of the team. They would get police to escort u out the film room if u tried to walk in,” Durant WROTE.

The back and forth didn’t end there. The fan clapped back at KD, stating that he isn’t loyal to any team, and it all started when he left OKC to chase rings. The fan told Durant that despite his Hall of Fame-worthy career, no franchise or fanbase claims him as one of their own.

Kevin Durant Opened Up About Being Depressed

In his nearly two-decade-long career, Durant has accomplished everything an athlete could hope for. Championships, an MVP title, All-Star appearances, and Olympic gold medals, among other things. On the financial side, KD has made over $500 million from the NBA alone.

NBA fans are aware of his nonchalant and carefree attitude, but during a recent conversation with Bobbi Althoff, KD showcased his sensitive side. The 37-year-old opened up about his struggles with depression and feeling insecure.

“Sometimes. I’ve been stressed, depressed six years ago like once,” Durant told Althoff. “Just like I was insecure about how I looked. It was crazy… I feel insecure about how I look every day.”

It was refreshing to hear Durant talk on such a sensitive subject. He stated that he was six feet tall at age 12 and was very skinny, which triggered those feelings inside him. Over the years, he started feeling confident in himself and his appearance and managed to move forward.
