Former Michigan Wolverines and Kansas Jayhawks star Hunter Dickinson recently shared an emotional tribute after the death of one of his former teammates, Gregg Glenn III. On Monday, July 28, it was reported by several outlets, such as Yahoo Sports, that incoming Tulane Green Wave senior Gregg had died in a tragic drowning accident this past weekend.
This prompted Dickinson to repost Tulane Men’s Basketball’s post on Instagram with a heartfelt message. Glenn III was just 22 years old.
Dickinson recently wrapped up his five-year collegiate basketball tenure and has since signed a two-way contract with the New Orleans Pelicans after going undrafted in this year’s NBA Draft. He was presumably going to reunite with Glenn III in the city.
“We were just talking about how we were gonna link up when I got back to NO, R.I.P,” Dickinson wrote on his Instagram story.

Dickinson and Glenn III shared the court during the 2022-23 college basketball season for coach Dusty May’s Wolverines, which ended up becoming their individually-last stints with the Wolverines. They finished that campaign with an overall record of 18-16 (11-9, Big Ten) and went all the way to the second round of the 2023 NIT.
