Mississippi State Bulldogs guard Josh Hubbard’s clutch gene was on full display in his team’s most recent regular season matchup, much to the delight of onlookers online. On Saturday, Jan. 3, Hubbard and the rest of coach Chris Jans‘ 2025-26 Bulldogs team did battle against coach Sean Miller’s Texas Longhorns in the hopes of snagging their ninth win of the current campaign.
In a video then posted by @ESPN on X/Twitter, Hubbard was seen driving right hard as he was coming off a screen then pulled up from the three-point area in the top-of-the-key to hit the go-ahead basket for his team, causing the Bulldogs to lead by three points, 99-96, with less than 40 seconds left to go during the extra period. The spitfire scorer then went on to do a “shh” pose to the hostile Longhorns crowd.
