Smith Jr., a 6’3″ guard from Paul VI Catholic (VA), continued his ascent at Nike EYBL Session III in Indianapolis, delivering a string of efficient and versatile performances.
Ranked No. 4 in ESPN’s 2026 rankings, Smith opened the session by dropping 22 points and six rebounds while shooting an eye-popping 82% from the field, scoring at all three levels.

Against Team Durant, Smith scored 10 points and grabbed eight rebounds and then had 10 points, three rebounds, and two assists in a win against Team CP3.
He has performed two-way well this season while remaining the only player to top 10 in points (22.7), rebounds (8.3), and assists (4.3) per game for Team Takeover, who continue on an undefeated streak.
Smith’s dominant stretch has sparked interest from powerhouse programs. He holds offers from Duke, Kansas, Syracuse, Villanova, Louisville, Arkansas, and Georgetown, among others. ESPN ranks him as high as No. 5 overall and No. 2 at his position.
Duke Emerging As Strong Contender for Five-Star Guard Jordan Smith
Though still a junior, Smith is attracting major national attention—and Duke appears to be gaining traction in his recruitment. Smith has shined for Team Takeover on the Nike EYBL circuit, quickly establishing himself as one of the most coveted prospects in the country.
In conversation with 247Sports’ Dushawn London, Smith spoke highly of Duke’s approach.
“I really like Duke and how they’re changing the program around. The coaches always treated me like family when I went up to visit them. It was really fun. I saw my teammates, and it was a good vibe with them,” Smith said.

His visit included time with former teammates Pat Ngongba and Darren Harris.
“Watching them play, they’re playing their freshmen a lot with Cooper (Flagg) and Isaiah (Evans). I’ve been really impressed with them so far,” Smith said.
While official visits are still being planned, Smith named Arkansas, Kentucky, Louisville, Georgetown, Duke, and Syracuse as the schools showing the most interest. His recruitment is set to intensify during the upcoming live periods.
