Florida State is entering a new era after replacing their head coach, Leonard Hamilton, with Luke Loucks. Loucks knows he has plenty of work to do to fill the shoes with one of the longest-serving coaches in the history of college basketball. His work just got considerably harder as Deng became the second Florida State player to enter the transfer portal.
North Carolina Tar Heels
North Carolina could be the ideal fit for Deng under the tutelage of head coach, Hubert Davis. North Carolina is renowned for its emphasis on positional basketball, and Deng could fit in with his ability to play both inside and out.
Baylor Bears
Baylor won the 2021 National Championship and is one of the most successful programs in recent years. This success could make the prospect of teaming up with the Bears an attractive option for the 21-year-old. Deng will also get the chance to play alongside talented guards like Keyonte George.
Oregon Ducks
Oregon has been a consistent program for the last few years, and head coach Dana Altman would fancy the prospect of linking up with the talented forward. Deng has the ability to stretch defenses with his three-point shooting, which would be a valuable asset for Oregon.
Michigan Wolverines
Deng would be a natural fit for Tom Izzo’s team with his physicality and rebounding ability. The 21-year-old will also have the opportunity to play with experienced guards and benefit from Michigan State’s reputation for developing young talent.
Gonzaga Bulldogs
Deng’s versatility would make him a valuable asset for Gonzaga. The Georgia-born forward would also be able to continue his development and become a key player for the team. Gonzaga would also offer Deng the opportunity to enhance his skills in a competitive environment.
